THE 1ST NANO OBJECTS
SORTER

TO DETECT,
COUNT AND SORT

Individual nano objects, at high speed,
by biological or specific criteria

COUNTING AND SORTING NANO OBJECTS

A key issue for several health areas

Fast detection and sorting of nano sized objects is now possible with Hekat’s technology. Our goal is to become the first worldwide company to offer a microfluidic and optical instrument that can  detect, count and sort individual biological nano objects, by functional critera.

The next revolution in medicine

The exosome revolution may well be the greatest advance in physiology and medecine since antibiotics
Exosomes, a Clinical Compendium – Collectif 2019 – Academic Press

Exosomes

Extracellular vesicles
typically 30-100 nm in diameter,
generated by cells
involved in  intercellular communication

Present in very large numbers
in our bodily fluids.

Booming sector
thanks to  prognostic, diagnostic, and  therapeutic applications

The Hekat solution :

Sorting exosomes by functional criteria, such as the type of cell they originate from

Example

Pancreatic cancer

95% of cases are fatal

Biopsy : invasive and hazardous

Liquid biopsy : sensitivity  issues

Very late diagnosis, standard and untargeted therapy

The Hekat solution

Analyse the exosomes originated from the tumor, without requiring invasive and hazardous biopsy

Early diagnosis

Tailored treatment

Improved prognosis

Helthcare costs reduction

Use case

Quality control

for viral vectors engineering and manufacturing

Viral vectors have many medical applications

Gene therapy, Immunotherapy (CarT cells) for cancer treatment,  vaccines, etc… To produce higher volumes, challenges throughout the manufacturing process must be solved, in particular quality control and yield.

Bioproduction quality control

The proportion between full and empty viral capsids is a key indicator during development and production of viral vecors. Current immunologic testing are very time consuming, and give highly variable results (upto a factor of five depending on the CRO). Hence vectors  are produced « blinfolded ».

Hekat’s  solution can measure this ratio within minutes.
